My dog is a power chewer. He usually demolishes any chew I give him within an hour. I gave him a calve's hoof and he's chewed on it daily for several days. It's still almost whole.
I also have a small dog who is a moderate chewer and she loves it too.

Freyja is a discriminating chewer. The hooves were smaller than I expected and I’m concerned about the size for a Great Pyrenees.

I bought the cow hooves because I was waiting for the bully sticks to be restocked. The boys liked them, it was a nice change. I did buy the bigger size, and am glad I did.

Lola likes the cow hoof however I thought they might be slightly bigger. But I’m very happy it hasn’t broken off in chunks like one did from a different store. Much better quality.

These are great and provide a hard chewing option for pups with strong jaws. A couple downsides is that they are extremely smelly and once they get to a certain size I’m afraid that they present a choking hazard. Normally the hooves are pretty big, but my last set of hooves came rather small, which means they won’t last long before I have to take them away for fear of choking. Too bad.

I didn’t realize that these could possibly give slivers and cut my dogs mouth before I bought them. Next time I’ll do my research. I also learned that they stink when chewed. And I think my dog would try to swallow them whole! For a smaller dog who’s a non aggressive chewer they might be ok
